UNETEK was founded by Joel Brown. Brown?s career includes extensive technology expertise with more than 22 years in the business and prior experience as IT supervisor for a prominent engineering firm. With time, Brown realized that the industry was lacking a personalized level service. After extensively researching his business and joining with some of the industry?s top technology manufacturers, he decided to pursue his life-long dream of entrepreneurship and founded UNETEK in 1999. Brown asked his son-in-law, Fred Doty, to become his partner. Doty always had a passion for working with computers and possessed extensive field experience. He saw Brown?s partnership offer as an opportunity to create a unique and trustworthy support system for clients. They chose to run their company with honesty, integrity and performance, with a distinctive outlook on life. Brown and Doty both have a strong Christian beliefs and a treat their clients exactly how they would want to be treated. In fact, most of their business is through word-of-mouth referrals. UNETEK also believes in partnering with local non-profit organizations to positively impact the community. Time and materials have been provided to Project GRAD USA, First Baptist Church Katy, Mill Creek Church, Bonita House of Hope and other community organizations in Texas. While UNETEK has grown since its inception, Brown and Doty take pride that UNETEK is still family-owned and operated. UNETEK?s base of operations is in Katy, Texas, although they conduct business in all of Houston and surrounding areas. They currently have clients in major cities throughout Texas.
