our history Cargo Alliance Ltd. incorporated over ten years ago following the acquisition of Clarke International by Stephen P. Valentine, General Manager, and Kanwal Athwal, Operations Manager. Together, Steve and Kanwal bring over 60 years of freight forwarding experience and exceptional service to the business. With a global network of select agents, Cargo Alliance has the right connections to manage all aspects of your global logistics needs. And in 2006, we added Canadian customs brokerage to our suite of personal touch services. the principals Stephen P. Valentine, President of Cargo Alliance, began his distinguished career in the international transportation field in the United Kingdom in 1963. Over Steve's 45 year career, he has held a number of positions and posts in both the UK and Canada, including four non- associated managing directorships, co-owner of a freight forwarding company, and several senior management and director positions. Steve is a very strong supporter of the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association, having served as the Central Region President, and later Chair, and actively served on the National Board of Directors, in the education field. Kanwal Athwal, Vice President of Cargo Alliance, began her international transportation career in the United Kingdom where she worked on both sides of the counter, first with Her Majesty's Customs and Excise, and then with a major multinational freight forwarder. Kanwal moved to Canada in 1990 where she continued to gain more experience in the freight forwarding industry. Kanwal joined Clarke International in 1993 where she contributed extensively to improving their service standards and to developing their technology solutions.
