Our Vancouver area offices are Gold Sponsors of the Kidney Foundation.
Ten corporate teams got involved in an effort to raise a mile of coins and generate awareness of organ donation. Our teams successfully raised almost $60,000 toward the goal and we received a great deal of media attention. The funds raised support the ongoing work of the Kidney Foundation, in the areas of medical research, patient services and organ donation programs.

| I had a very small move of approx. 50 boxes, 2 statues, and a white sofa. AMJ Campbell and Two Men and a Truck priced my move at $900 with 3 men. I thought it was high, and I went with this cheaper company for $600. However, little could I imagine just how much I would pay at the end of the night. They arrived an hour late. My elevator was booked for a limited time. It was clear that they were not professional movers from the minute they arrived. They had no idea how to carry a box, and they were very out of shape. They had a truck that was too small, and they brought no padding or wrap for my white sofa and statues as promised by the man who booked it. They were careless with the boxes, and they did not want to move the statues. They suggested I get someone else to do it. Of course, it was moving day and they could not be left behind. The owner had said I did not need extra insurance for the statues, since they had lots of experience. I finally phoned the owner when I watched my white sofa set on it's side on a dirty elevator floor. The movers said they don't carry anything to protect it. The same person I booked with answered the phoned and sounded very sympathetic. Later, I was told that the same person phoned the movers and told them to keep my furniture on the truck until I paid in full. They also insisted I pay in cash before they would unload my belongings. The total rate was now $1700. The entire experience was a nightmare, and they insisted my 10 year old and I help them if I wanted everything off the truck brought into the home. There were so many issues such as the lost keys to the truck to refusing to move the remainder of the items once the truck was full. By some miracle, it first appeared that nothing had been broken. However, it didn't take long to realize they had placed things so the damage wasn't apparent. The base of the statue had been damaged, the sofa was no longer white, and there were a great deal of smaller items that were shattered. None of this compared to the Hauser cast iron lounge chair that had been put on the balcony on the 3rd floor. My 10 year old climbed on it the next morning to look over the balcony. What we didn't know is that the leg was broken off, and they set it up to appear it was not broken. My daughter fell back and hit her head on the concrete. She was unconscious, and we called an ambulance. She has since experienced migraines and problems with her vision. She experienced neither prior to this. We are currently working with a lawyer. We will take them to court. I phoned and relayed the problem to the only man who answers the phone. He refused to give me his last name, and he told me that the owner only speaks chinese. He would have to communicate what happened with my child and the damage to the items to the owner himself. I have since phoned repeatedly, and I have not had a single response. They have refused to discuss this matter any further, and they will not compensate for the damage to the items. This man refuses to discuss my daughter's fall. This was a very simple move that has turned into a nightmare. I'm smarter than this, and I know better then to hire a company without checking them out. After reading other's experiences, I will never make this mistake again. I hope to help you from making this mistake as well. | |
